How it works

Beginning is effortless.

Most technology help is reactive — you call only once something has already broken, and you take your chances with whoever answers. Meridian is the opposite: a quiet, proactive relationship where everything is handled for you. No call centers. No queues. No strangers. Only your advisor.

The three steps

Step One

The Private Introduction

Forty-five minutes, complimentary — in your home or by video, whichever feels most comfortable. We talk about your household and what you’d like handled, and you leave knowing exactly what I’d recommend. You’ll also learn the Pause Protocol — whether or not we ever work together.

Step Two

Your First 90 Days

On the first visit, seven protections are in place before I leave, and a full audit of the household leads to a written plan we approve together. Over ninety days, I secure and simplify, document, and implement the approved plan across the household.

Step Three

Ongoing care, when it fits

Near the end of your ninety days, we scope the right ongoing care for your household — proposed in writing, and chosen by you. Never automatic, never assumed, and no long-term contracts.

Inside Step Two — the ninety days

The first visit

Understand & prioritize

Seven protections in place, on one signed page in your hand — then a full audit of the household. You’ll know where your household stands before I leave, and your written report and Household Protection Plan follow within one business day.

Days 1–60

Secure & simplify

Accounts hardened and recovery verified; backups, devices, and the home network brought current and stable — the household documented as we go.

Days 61–90

Document & implement

Every agreed item checked and documented — nothing is “done” until it’s verified. Your Record is completed and your Family Continuity Plan is delivered.

When it’s complete, your household holds

  • A safer household — the agreed protections in place, tested, and verified
  • Your Household Technology Record — the status of everything that matters, in one place
  • Your Family Continuity Plan — what to do, step by step, when something needs attention
  • A clear maintenance plan — what needs attention, when, and by whom
The Completion Commitment

Once your written Household Protection Plan is approved, the included, Meridian-controlled work is completed and documented within ninety days — or I continue that work at no additional professional charge until it is complete.

Your plan is written and agreed before the clock starts — the scope, the criteria, and who does what, in plain language. The engagement investment is presented privately at your Introduction, in writing — one number, stated plainly. Never a surprise, and never any pressure.

What we care for

Four categories. One standard of care.

Protect

Security & Scam Defense

Stronger locks on the accounts that matter most, protection against phone-number theft, and a household prepared for scams — and a clear plan for account recovery and your digital legacy. At the heart of it is our Pause Protocol — a simple, reliable way to verify anything before you act.

Organize

The Documented Household

Your devices, accounts, subscriptions, and service providers — understood, organized, and recorded in a living Household Technology Record, with clear priorities and family updates to trusted contacts, always with your consent.

Stabilize

A Home That Simply Works

Reliable internet throughout the home, device health and updates, backups that have actually been tested, smart-home and streaming support, and patient, unhurried help — recurring frustrations resolved for good. No problem too small, no question too simple.

Prepare

Ready Before It Matters

A written Family Continuity Plan — what to do, step by step, if a phone is lost, an account is compromised, or a scam is suspected — plus family coordination, vendor guidance, and a clear maintenance plan, so no one is ever left guessing.

How we handle what we see

Status, never secrets.

The question careful families ask first: what exactly will Meridian know?

  • We never hold your passwords. No passwords, PINs, or recovery codes are ever written in your Household Technology Record — anywhere. They live in a password manager controlled by you alone.
  • Status words only. The Record shows what stands guard — account exists, protection on, recovery verified — never how to get past it. Accounts are noted by name and last four digits only.
  • Context without exposure. Meridian keeps your Record current so each visit begins with understanding rather than starting over — and it is shared only as your household directs.

Meridian documents what your household has, what is protected, and what still needs attention — and never the keys to any of it.

Questions

Good to know.

What if I’d rather not deal with technology myself?
Then you’re in exactly the right place. The households Meridian is built for are perfectly capable — they simply have better things to do with their time than manage devices and accounts. There’s never a silly question, we never rush or talk down to anyone, and we handle the technical parts ourselves — you simply enjoy the result.
What happens at the Private Introduction?
Forty-five minutes, complimentary, and entirely a conversation — in your home or by secure video, whichever feels most comfortable. We talk through your household, your concerns, and what you’d like handled, and I’ll tell you plainly whether Meridian is the right fit and what I’d recommend. You’ll also learn the Pause Protocol — a simple habit that protects your household whether or not we ever work together. The full audit and hands-on work begin only once an engagement is approved.
How does pricing work, and am I locked into a contract?
Everything begins with the complimentary Private Introduction. If Meridian is right for your household, I’ll recommend the ninety-day engagement and present the investment privately, in writing — one number, stated plainly — so you can decide calmly, with the people you trust. Ongoing care afterward is scoped to your household near the end of your ninety days. There are no long-term contracts, and ongoing care is recommended only when it genuinely fits.
What is the Completion Commitment?
Your First 90 Days runs on a written Household Protection Plan we approve together — the scope, and what “done” means, in plain language. If the included, Meridian-controlled work isn’t completed and documented within ninety days, I continue that work at no additional professional charge until it is.
Do you store my passwords?
No — never. Meridian records status, never secrets: no passwords, PINs, or recovery codes are ever written in your Household Technology Record, and accounts are noted by name and last four digits only. Your credentials live in a password manager under your control alone. Beyond that, discretion and confidentiality govern everything we see in your home.
Is Meridian insured?
Yes. Meridian carries professional liability and commercial general liability through Lloyd’s, along with cyber coverage, and I’m background-checked. I’d be glad to show you the certificate.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve Central Ohio. If you’re nearby and unsure whether you’re in our area, just reach out — we’re happy to let you know.
What if something comes up between visits?
Your advisor is just a phone call away. That’s the heart of the relationship — you always have one trusted person to turn to, not a queue and a stranger.
